Nice shots.    As a bred and born San Franciscan, I can attest that the Baker Beach view of the bridge is one of the best, and one that most tourists miss. There is an iconic photo from the mid-1930s, taken just about where you were.

(Whoa...I was going to attach a link, but it was monstrous.  Google "Golden Gate Bridge Fisherman baker beach" and you'll find the B+W photo.)

I do wonder where those crabs are coming from.   The fishery is closed due to warm water and contamination of the crabs.  It will clear up soon, we hope.

I second Jakov's thoughts. This bridge was on my bucket list too. There's something unique about this bridge which I find hard to explain in words.. I believe it is mostly to do with its architecture, the "International Orange" color and San Francisco city in the backdrop.

#8. F line Streetcar
EDIT:
F line - F Market & Wharves line runs as a heritage streetcar service, using exclusively historic equipment both from San Francisco's retired fleet as well as from cities around the world. Of-course they have heritage streetcars from other states of United States.
Streetcars from Milan, Italy, built in 1928 - 9 of them are still operational. Apart from that they have vintage streetcars imported from England, Australia, Japan, Portugal, Switzerland, Mexico.
The one in photo below: from Cleveland, Ohio.. Built in 1946.

Thanks Frank. This was done using Photoshop CC; played with hue, saturation and color balance. The original was overly underexposed. It's heavily recovered from shadows. Since you mentioned, I will find out what "Nik Analogue Efx" is and try.

i really like the streetcar too. given the rather dated car, and the heritage trolley, one might even think the shot was from 20 years ago. perhaps the blue accessibility logo gives it away!

San Francisco has quite the collection of old streetcars acquired from other cities and rehabilitated for continuing use.  These run on one line; the other lines all use modern streetcars.

Nik collection was part in CaptureNX2 ... But not all of it.

Nik brought the U Point Technology to the world.

And some very nice RAW tools.

In the past you only had to pay extra for the filter suite.

I lived about 200 yards in from the edge of the cliff above Baker Beach in the 80s on Kobbe Av2
We were actually just moving in when one of my sons appeared, whispered quickly to the other and they both disappeared along with my binoculars.
Turns out that, on nice days, Baker Beach was for nude bathing.


They returned a bit disconsolate; I imagine reality wasn't nearly as nice as dreams.

You lived in a beautiful place, Lew. I'm sure it was lot beautiful then, than what it is today.
And, thanks for you kind comment. I'm not happy with the post-processing of these photos and will reprocess them all over again.
