To test the AF performance a bit further I used the same lens (Jupiter-3) set to f1.5 and shot a Nikon F camera at about 1.5m.
First image I focused at Nikon logo on camera and second image I focused lens serial number. Adapter did a good job I think.
While the lens is not very sharp at 1.5 it might be just a bit better at longer distances than "macro" distances.
The frames are cropped so it only shows the camera.

If you can adapt all your lenses to M-mount then Megadap should work.....if the M-adapter fits mechanical in Megadap. It is not all Leica M lenses that fits.
Among my M-adapters are some K&F like:
EXA to M
M42 to M
Nik to M
Nik G to M (don't know why I got this adapter as Nikon G-lenses are AFS and can autofocus with FTZ)
C/Y to M

Then for M39 I have a M39 to M42 step-up ring so M42 to M can be used etc. Lot of possibilities :-)
I also have a very thin adapter that adapts Leica M39 to Leica M. Which rings also depends of which distance the lens need to the sensor.
Sometimes you can adapt a lens to physical fit but it will not work because distance to sensor does not match how lens was designed.

Thanks, it’s easier for me as I have only F-mount lenses. :)
I’ve found out Megadapter has an M to F adapter.

Yes, Megadap also sells adapters.......
I just upgraded my adapter to ver. 2.0 firmware.
Interesting if I can "feel" any difference. Next lens I will try will be a manual Nikkor lens.....

Adapter did a good job I think.

It did indeed !

Efficiency is obvious.

Now with ver. 2.0 firmware in adapter I used the "cheap" plastic AIS Nikkor 50/1.8.
It is an optically very good lens. With adapter I could focus down to 0.2m when lens was set to 0.6m (min. native distance for the lens).
I shot at f1.8 and I think lens has good performance.

Firmware 2.0 works. It has less "hunt" when focus is hit.
With this short distance the flash was not able to fire at low enough level (I got overexposure with direct flash). I used indirect flash to avoid overexposure (probably I could have used "flash bracketing").

The next Nikkor was tricky and I always used the lens from f2.8 - f5.6. Very rare I used it at f1.2.
The strange thing is that focus was on "eye" and it looked perfect in viewfinder but at image it seems that sharpness is a bit better other places.
I attached a f1.2 image + crop and f2.8 image + crop. It is a challenge to use the lens at f1.2 (it is not flat field). The bokeh is good. Min. focus distance about 0.25m.
At f2.8 sharpness really picks up. Lens is probably made to be used a longer distances. I will put it back in its box.
