Tree plantations are no guarantee for dull landscape impressions, apparently. The Larix in the Abies grove really stands out.

#2 and #5 from the last set are my favorites!

the reparian zone is wonderfully planted in #1 and I like the hillscene with the landscape killer animals in #4

Needless to say, #3 is a nice continuation of what I like about this series.   :)

A beautiful series, David. The light in Scotland can be truly stunning.

I particularly like the two images where the farm animals are more than incidental to the image, namely DSC1622 and DSC1639. They catch the setting sun beautifully in the latter.

Mongo was going to comment on the various images commencing with #3 but it became obvious that it is easier to summarise the images as varying levels of fabulous for different reasons. Mongo did not think you could exceed your already posted work but you thoroughly surprised and delighted with your latest quality of images. Looking forward to the next lot

What can I say - thank you for such a glowing report - I'm pleased that you're pleased - and that goes for everyone who has commented.

I always find new scenes, new landscapes, very stimulating, and here was a large and beautiful area of Scotland which I hardly knew at all. The light was also beautiful throughout our short trip, so my job - to come home with some decent images - was made very easy.
