I want to grow up to be just like you Mom - Common loon and chick

This loon family was imaged in early June, Northern Michigan.  The chick was 2-3 days old, and completely dependent on its parents, who are remarkably dedicated to raising the chick(s)

D4  600VR  f/4  1/1000s  ISO 1000

Taken from my little boat, Loonie Too

Very nice capture! I hope to see more of these great pictures of the little family, so we can follow the chick growing up.
