Although I am still learning how to get the best out of this lens, I really like it, too, for the same reasons. Great rendering of OOF background.

Thanks, Jakov. It is very easy to spend hours in Shinjuku Gyoen. However, when the very popular cherry blossom viewing time (hanami) arrives shortly, you will need sharp elbows as well.

I actually wound back the brightness of the images quite a bit - personal preference.

Elsa, Elsa, Elsa, it's trivial to make an unshsarp photo with an unsharp lens.
You need to grab a sharp one in order to create an unsharp image

In other words, I will be using a sharp lens, it's just that I cannot focus properly
