Nice!
I like the bleak, gloomy atmosphere.
It's not steeped by the glaring sun topping the solitary tree which gives a interesting tension.
Elements of modern city civilization, like the street light to the right, are well hidden.
B&W transfer is well suiting.

In my eyes reaching for a sharper (or more contrasting) rendering of the solitary tree
may add to the presentation.

Hi Sten!

Nice idea to put the sun on top of the tree. Like a fruit? Like a Christmas star?
The ascend followed by a descend and another path coming from the top right
The subdued structural elements. It all adds up to a spooky atmosphere.

I see the only point disturbing the whole in my opinion is the street lamp. You might want to remove it from the frame. I feel this would increase the density of the atmosphere, because the lamp is in a geometrical significant point.

A bit mysterious. I like these kind of images. I never noticed the street lamp until it was mentioned! I think it would be very difficult to remove (at least for me).

A very northern scene.  I like the delicate tracery of the branches and the positioning of the sun.  The street light is not a problem for me.
