Landscape with long lenses

Trying out 600mm for landscape. The Ice breakup in river Gaula (mid-Norway) with 300mm.

600mm demands a good eye for landscape details, but its use can produce very nice images.

Yes, it is certainly more demanding than the 300mm because of the very narrow field of view.
This is the f/4 AF-S G VR (just obtained), and it can certainly deliver if you get it right. Practice is the key here as always I suppose...

The longest I have is 300mm, but love attempting landscapes with it.

Thanks for your comments Colin and John. It may be a challenge, but challenges can be fun. Just go for it with the 300, it can even be used hand-held. Something that is hardly the case with the 600 f/4.

At 840mm now (600m with 1.4x TC), by a lake at the northern outskirts of Oslo.
