Hi from Australia

Australia - bushfires in the west, floods in the east, and I'm in Melbourne, away from all the turmoil...

Hello and welcome to NikonGear! It is a peaceful enclave in cyberspace. I look forward to seeing some of your photographs!

Melbourne is a great city and I am curious to see how it is doing these days.

One small request, if I may: would you please include your name in your posts? It is not obligatory but I find that being able to use a real name contributes to the charm of this place.

Welcome to NG, which is as Ian points out, a peaceful corner of the vast cyberspace. Enjoy and by all means, contribute what you like. We are an international community and learning more about the diversity of the world is entertaining and useful to all.

The Admins are, as everyone else in the NG community,  pleased to see real names being used. You could put it in the signature if you prefer not to change your screen nick-name.

LOL - Zev IS my real name!

I was a professional wedding photographer for over 30 years using an F100 - best film camera I ever had.  Additionally, I had 3 F801 bodies, 4 Nikon flashes, motor drives, etc.
Sold it all many years ago, and now I'm retired and have 2 D7200 bodies and specialize in taking photos of old bridges.

Sure beats dealing with bridezillas...

Hi Zev, welcome to our little patch of internet "real estate".

Talking about learning more about the diversity in the world. Like Birna, my first instinct was to ask for your real name. Sorry about that!

I Look foward to seeing some of your work.

My guess is that our new NG member also has a family name. We prefer using full names. They are the real ones.

Hi Zev - welcome.

There are a few Melbournians on this site and a few more from elsewhere in OZ.

(Since you are from Melbourne, using film is still quite OK if you want to, whereas if you were from Queensland we would all expect you to use fillem!  ;D)
