Dramatic shot, well done. What (or who) caused the girl to fall?
Was caused by over-egearness, a surplus of energy and some cute clumsiness.
Yellow card and free direct kick ;D
She looked surprise for a momennt on the floor but got up and continued running in a second. The race continued without drama. There was an impressive performance from the little blonde in red on the far left. She finished 100+mts ahead of the second one in a 1000 mts competition.

A star is born, or may be it was rather one that escaped?
I succumbed to the bombarment of B&H emails last week - the extra star was the creation of the initial testing of the freebee filter that came with the lens that arrived yesterday. Having newly gotten into the Z system, I guess this purchase was an inevitable development... In the past months I was evaluating and on the lookout for the two normal zoom alternatives. Still undecided and noticing that the 24-120mm was not receiving standalone discounts and anyway being out of stock everywhere, I re-examined my lens use. The heavily discounted 50mm f/1.8 S was my first temptation, but I have not had the greatest use of standard 50mm lenses in the past - the 55mm macro lenses in the same range have been dominating for general use, even as early as the film days. The experience during summer travel was that with the 14-30mm as my "standard" lens I was quite happy with complementing that with my 105mm f/2.5 AIS on my Z8. The excellent 30mm end of the former could also be stretched a little to a narrower angle of view by cropping if needed. I only occasionally mounted my 55 micro.
Although the micro 105 MC was tempting, it is too big for my everyday carry, so I went for the 85mm f/1.8 S that interestingly was not initially on my radar at all and is my first 85mm lens. Also interesting is that in my early DX days I used 20mm in combination with the 55mm f/3.5, so almost the same angle of view on the DX sensors. When using the zoom on my AW1, I am usually either at the wide or long end approximating the same views.

Thanks Akira, it was definitely the filter, no ghost without it, took a second trip outside to check without the filter. Of course any ghost would be an interaction between the filter, sensor and the rest of the optical train.

there are people called "investors" whose main goal is to make as much money with a building lot as possible. Build fast and cheap sell fast and expensive. The Administration tries to make these people abide the law at least, politics tries to bring these people to at least caring a little bit about beauty and the neighbouring built environment. This is a fight "money vs beauty" and beauty loses too often...
A flat here typically costs 1 Million Euros. Building it is 400.000 or even less. All people in the city suffer from this uglyness in a prominent place for the next 50 years.
The price guarantees that the kind of people who live there are better off than most of us. To buy such a flat you have to belo g to the top 1% in Germany. Income rich is not enough. You have to need an inheritance on top of it.

Funny enough., I also got a "..mas" present for myself today, viz. the Nikkor 70-180mm f/2.8 Z. Probably a rebadged Tamron, but who cares as long as the price is (nearly) OK and the lens handles well on my Zf. It even accepts my iShoot tripod bracket (for the 105/2.8 MC Z) and functions nicely even with the TC1.4Z. Perhaps not so 100% perfect as I had hoped for in IR shooting, but will do adequately for apertures in a sensible range down to f/8-f/11.
If you love somebody set them free

By coincidence, the 70-180 accepts the same iShoot tripod bracket I got (and modified) for the 105MC Nikkor. That's great because the lens has no VR functionality on its own.

Colin, this is wonderful and +1 to what all of the other respondents have said.
For myself, it almost makes me feel that I am out there walking with you and the people in the image. I can even taste the air! :)

I had just a little time to shoot with those girls but we try to make most out of it. This is one of the last pictures we took. If possible we'll find another time to finish the session on a different location.
Yes Fran, you remember the place correctly. The image with my mother is where we went with Birna. Top of the sierra, overlooking La Línea, Algeciras bay, stretch of Gibraltar, mediterranean sea, north Africa...quite the view ;)

The 35mm f/1.8 proves to be an excellent companion for the Zf despite reports considering it the least of the Z lenses?

Many thanks Fons - yes it is very good - all is relative and despite being probably one of the best 35mm ever, it is a bit weaker compared to the other Z primes.

I purchased a Kolari IR clip-in filter for the Z cameras. Had Kolari also shipped the magnetic fastener plate I ordered, the setup might fit for field testing. As they didn't even though I had paid for the item, the filter rattles inside the camera mount so I won't use it for any serious business until the missing item arrives. If it ever manifests itself. Without the internal filter being held in position, image sharpness certainly will suffer, and this fact showed itself clearly on my test pictures.
Any way, I availed myself of the opportunity to mount a few assorted fisheye lenses to the IR-modified Z cameras. Here the tiny Meike 4mm f/2.8 fish was abused by me on the Z5. The lens is not bad, despite the various flare spots some of which might be caused by the Kolari (?) and considered its very low price, might even be value for the money. Do remember it is designed for DX, however. Thus the image circle on the FX models is on the small size. The Sunex 5.6mm f/5.6 or any of the various Fisheye-Nikkors would be a better option for FX. The Meike is claimed to cover 220 degrees and most frames either had my fingers inside the image circle, or my feet, or both.

Considering the setup, your feet show remarkably low distortion here Birna :)

More Fisheye fun -- this time, the AFD 16mm f/2.8, which (before being abused by me ...) is in fact a very good performer in IR.

Birna, interesting photo. I don't know how you do it, but I like the colors it has, red, blue and black.

To be honest, neither do I [know what I did]. It was planned as a straight forward black-white IR photo with typical fisheye geometry. Obviously that didn't go according to plan. Maybe the plan wasn't feasible?
