Very nice photo, great lighting.

The game being played is pool - the bands on some of the balls show this.

Billiards is played with no more than three balls on the table, sometimes only two.  It is not so popular these days, having long been overtaken in much of the world by snooker, which has fifteen red balls and six balls of other colours.

We say Billiard in German but mean Pool...

I should say so - it is a wonderful image.  I like the look on her face and how the light catches it and the concentration being displayed.  Not so sure about the deliberate hole in the knee of her designer jeans. Kids! LOL
