Speedily travel with Jan Anne's beamer back to Amsterdam. Not too many roadblocks and we arrived around the ETA for a change.

While we were slowly navigating the streets of Köln (Cologne), I spotted a shabby photo store and Erik, the designated BMW driver at the moment, obligingly pulled over. A few minutes later I had acquired a near pristine 50 mm f/1.4 Nikkor AI. Later, back at Jan Anne's place, CPU modification is under way and the new power tool of Erik is singing its high-pitched whine again. OK, the new lens just has to have its CPU programmed and we're good to go :D Off to pizza in a few minutes.

Erik, it was Colette Faller, as seen on the label you show.
Does it mean she is still around? She must be extremely aged now!
Next time I see her I will tell her her wine is delicious because of its greasy taste.

The "new" 50 mm f/1.4 AI Nikkor has joined the CPU club. Thanks to Erik for another example of workmanship and wizardry.

We didn't meet any of the family members, but sadly we saw a grave in the backyard, a too you member of the family passed last year; 1967-2014... Daughter maybe?

Sad story indeed. A quick search indicates that Madame Faller died this year at the age of 85, and that her daughter (whose grave you have seen) died last year. This young woman was actually running the estate with her sister.
There goes my desire to joke...

The place caught our attention for the high recommendations of the wines and the age of the Monastery; Goes back to year 890... Says a lot. Well worth a visit, Vine, Estate with the surrounding vine fields.
Thanks for looking up the family! Sad story indeed.

Shot in front of the winery, reflections of the main building can be seen in the rear of the car.
