This 1-2 day old chick was imaged on a Northern Michigan lake in early June.  I was struck by their interaction and the "ugly duckling" look of the chick versus the elegant parent.

D4 600VR. f/4. 1/1000s. ISO 1000.  Taken from my little loon boat.
