I wanted to buy this lens for use on my Z with the FTZ-adapter. Problem is, it doesn't fit on the FTZ.
According to Roland Vinke's website it's a very early model (1959/60).
The seller said the thickness of the F-mount has changed and newer models would fit.
I don't quite understand this because I have other lenses from that era that fit (5.8/1.4 and 13.5/3.5 both fro 1959 or so).

Is there a way to make it fit on an FTZ?

richardHaw:
i think that one has a long skirt, youll have to find a cheap chinese adapter and machine it or find an older adapter from the F2 era and adapt it to a leica adapter then adapt it back to Z :o :o :o

even if you managed to get it to mount if i am not mistaken then rear element will hit something ::) it goes deep

To start off with  :o :o :o

chris dees:
I'm familiar with the strong warnings of Birna, the lens is not ment for a DSLR.
The lens is not too long for the FTZ (only 1-2 mm) and will not touch the sensor.

Could a K1-ring help?

richardHaw:
the ring will help :o :o :o

its not the sensor thats in danger but the shutter ::) i was told...clearance is very slim so be careful with your adapters.

now, i do remember mr Goto once warning us over dinner that the 2.1cm will work with a nikon Df when you lift the mirror manually BUT it still actuates and he showed us that there should be a mark where the mirror hits the lens tube and there really is one ::)
