On the trail of St Ansel

David Paterson:
I believe some other guy may have shot some stuff around this location - pity I didn't catch up to him when I was over in California - I maybe could have told him what he was doing wrong . . .

Ashlandish:
David, always nice to see your images--and this one brought back a memory.

When I was a child, a long time ago, my grandfather had a ranch about 30 miles outside the park--so I sometimes was able to visit. Not far from this this "location" I once saw an older white-bearded "guy" with a large view camera on a tripod patiently waiting the light, and even then I imagined it was that "guy". I'll never know for sure but I like to imagine it was. I'm sure though--he, whoever he was, could have told me what I was doing wrong with my little camera...

Akira:
Welcome back, Dave!  Hope you are staying safe.

The image looks full of atmosphere.  The amount of the mist looks just about right to me.  Thank you for sharing!

Erik Lund:
Perfect, almost too perfect  ;D Thank you for sharing

Thomas Stellwag:
powerful, living scene

I am happy to see you posting
