A return to shared sunsets

(1/2) > >>

Gil Aegerter:
I took this nine years ago as smoke from Siberian wildfires produced spectacular sunsets in Seattle. Hoping that this summer it'll be safe to get back to such views around Lake Union. Taken with a 35-200mm Zoom-Nikkor on a D300. F8, 1/80th sec., ISO 200.

Jakov Minić:
A spectacular image, Gil.
What's a sunset without a foreground/story.

Akira:
Indeed, it is spectacular.  The compression effect of a long focal lens works nicely here.

John Geerts:
Lovely shot on multiple levels, the colour of the sky, the small hill and the black silhouettes against the sky giving a kind of ancient look.

Gil Aegerter:
Thank you for the comments. I took that while I was working at msnbc.com, and the image was one of the last wide images used on the old website's cover before it was redesigned.
