Utrecht on a beautiful winter day

Yesterday I walked along the Oude Gracht in Utrecht. I noticed the stark contrast between the blue skies, the sunlit buildings and the leafless trees.

Mike, yes it was cold (but I find everything beneath 10 Celcius cold).
John, sharp is my usual shooting and processing and the new Z-lenses also accentuate that.
Bent, thanks that was what I was looking for.
Thomas, the inclusion of the trees in the composition was the most challenging part of these images.
Jakov, hehe I like nice architecture a lot. I have to make a picture book with my architecture images, I have plenty of them.

Let me rephrase, how does an image qualify as too sharp?

Visible artifacts. f.i. Edges in branches of trees. It is not always the sharpness in the original image, resizing can also cause these effects.   

And it is also a matter of perception.
