Eye level with an African Thrush
« on: August 09, 2019, 12:06:39 »
Getting down and low yields pleasing results. African thrush are regular visitors close to me. All pictures taken with the D850+200-500 f5.6 combo, an excellent and budget friendly birding option. The 500mm f5.6 PF would be a much lighter and faster focusing option but the flexibility of the closer focusing zoom helps.

The African Thrush blends in nicely with the background. Well done!

Nice angle on those birds. I have a lot of Karoo Thruses in my garden, very similar except for a yellow ring around the eye.
