Oh, this is a very cool catch. Excellent for the thread too!

+1!

I also like your small green chameleon in this thread: https://nikongear.net/revival/index.php?topic=3942.msg207064#msg207064
Intense green  :)

Geckos and chameleons are fascinating creatures!

Finally, a nice, simple RGB from nature. New sprouting from a wildfire-incinerated Laurel Sumac (Malosma laurina) shrub, common in our area. A Wild Cucumber (Marah macrocarpa) vine shares the barren ground thanks to recent rain.  Added: A wider shot for context.

Fascinating, Keith! - intense red leaves and complementary Cucumber greens. Great with a context shot... definitely looks barren.

Thank you Lars. I've put up a picture of the chameleon's larger cousin in the green thread. All shots taken in Madagascar.

Nice presence of red, green, and blue. At that location, can you see over to Africa? Landscape seems familiar.

That you can remember and recognize it from this much information is mind-blowing Birna.
Yes, that is the vantage point in the road from Tarifa to Algeciras. Thsi was a clear day but I only had the 35 with me. Mount Atlas was very clear!

It's called "pattern recognition" and "deducing from minute scraps of information".

I recognised the outline of the  road cutting into the hill top, there is the vaguest sign of a wind mill in the background (we went there afterwards, remember), and small-sized pylon in the middle ground. The latter I did my best to make something pictorial from, and failed. The fence and the footpath looked familiar too.

So, you shot near the western entrance to  the "Mirador del Estrecho". Just standing where the car on the left hand side of the Google Maps snapshot is.
