Here are a few that I am happy with.

D200 + 85/1.4D
  1/200 @ f/2  no crop
  1/80 @ f/4  no crop
  1/80 @ f/5.6  2-shot horizontal pano, slight crop

Df + 85/1.4D
  3 sec @ f/4.5  slight crop
Frequently wrong, seldom in doubt

喜多郎 - Full Moon Story. With the 85mm f/1.4 Ais + 6T.

Being highly allergic to birch pollen, making such a picture is a challenge in itself :(

I used to love the old 85/1.8H on film, but haven't used it that much since I got the 2.8 PC. Not killer-diller sharp,  but rather lush.  This is an old shot with D3200, and since it leaves EXIF blank on manual lenses, I can't remember what the aperture was.  This was a bargain lens with slight delamination of the front element at the edges, which never seemed to bother it, and a fairly decent AI milling job.  A bargain at 60 bucks a dozen or so years ago,   This thread reminds me that I should take it out more often.

Beach day, December 2016.  85/1.8 K/Ai (f/5.6) on D800. I maxed out the JPEG size (6000 px long side) so you can hopefully zoom in to see all the individual action.
