After three months in the waitingroom---   The White Magnolia

I like the way you treat the background as the photographic main subject by using the magnolia tree as a frame.  The white magnolia flowers look quite different from either the ones commonly seen in Japan or those I saw in New Orleans.

Bent, you capture the tense between the tit and yourself, which I like.

It think it is the  Star Magnolia (Magnolia stellata) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnolia_stellata which should be native to Japan, according to Wikipedia.  Or is it rare?

John, interestingly, I haven't seen the star magnolia in Japan.  The magnolia commonly seen around here is Magnolia liliiflora whose color is white or purple:

I checked the HN-23 as well, but indeed too much vignetting even affecting 50mm, which is not strange as this hood is at home with the 80-200mm zoom. HN-22 is mentioned as alternative to the hk-15.  A UV filter might help a bit as well. At least it works with my 35-70/3.5 Ai-S.

I realized i made a typo i meant the HN-24 i think the hk-10 works fine too a bit shallow maybe.
