Close Encounter?
« on: September 21, 2017, 12:27:32 »
While I was up in north-west Scotland recently, I took a shot of a man walking his dog on a beach; both were quite distant from me. This morning I decided to print the image, and I took a closer look at the man's face, to see if I could get some detail there.

The first attachment shows the whole image. The second attachment shows the man's face, at 500%. Nothing extra was done to the face in post. The whole image got a 10% increase in contrast and blue/cyan got a 10% increase in saturation.

This is not a joke.

I went to our local police station and asked if the can run the face through their face recognition program - unfortunatel nobody knows him  ;)

now beeing serious again, your picture shows a dream: silence, seaside, relaxed, etc...it is perfect, wanna go there immediately

That is impressive!
BTW: I love the colors and composition. Great atmosphere.

The guy appears to spot you, David!  :D

Did you try the same thing on the dog?
