Vanilla and chocolate
« on: July 11, 2015, 18:11:39 »
I photographed a Vanilla and chocolate couple yesterday. I love the way dark skin absorb light. He wasnt as dark as I had hoped though. The darker - the better where skin is concerned. I wish I could post more pics of the couple - but he is a VIP so no pics allowed.

Elsa,

Stunning images!

I really like the set up of one, I should stop there .....but wanted to say that the shadows look like smudged charcoal?  which I do not find appealing.

...Two is great but I would fix the wrinkly elbow (skin fold)

Cheers

Thanks Bez - I didnt even notice the elbow - I will fix up for the client. Fortunately only delivering images on Monday. Much appreciated
Please explain which shadows you are referring to (smudgy charcoal)  body shot? If you are referring to the second image and the fact that it is not a true black and white  - that was intentional. For me that is a vintage look, and gives a totally different feel to the images. I do deliver a true B&W to the client also.

Armando - no she isnt pregnant - she is 45 and just doesnt look like a 20 year old anymore. I can fix that - but that would be altering too much I think. She still needs to look they way she is - I didnt think it looked bad?

Any other opinions - should I edit?

Thanks guys - help appreciated. I am too close to my own work sometimes to see the issues.

I meant the first shot, and it is mostly the shadow cast by the guy's hands/wrists. It looks odd on my uncalibrated laptop.

This is so right.  This is a great shot of a beautiful mature woman.

Thanks guys

BEZ - I am not sure I see what you are seeing - what I do see is uneven colour in the skin between the hands  - but not the shadows? you are welcome to post a crop of that portion and circle in red or something to show me what you mean

regarding uncalibrated monitors - no client has a calibrated monitor - so comments are quite often valid - calibrated or not.

regarding skin under the neck above the breasts - the most uneven coloured piece of skin on a woman - this is the neck line which usually gets sunburned - and it shows - that portion ages so much faster and becomes wrinkly - it can be a nightmare for me - especially in older woman.
