Aperture on my 24 PC-E can't be set anymore
« on: June 07, 2017, 02:01:52 »
My 24mm PC-E has been sitting on the shelf for a long time. I just discovered that the aperture can no longer be set by any of my cameras, D300, D800, Df. The first thing I tried was to clean the contact pins on the lens. But that did not help. Any suggestions on what I can try myself next?

Try TRADEBIT. For $13 you gonna get full manual, how to fix your lens. It is possible, if you have any skills to fix a precise mechanics. If you are not sure, do not touch, ask pro. Good luck! LZ

Get the lens to a qualified Nikon repair facility. Don't tinker with it yourself. An internal flatcable might have snapped or worked itself loose.

does it have an actuator motor?  :o :o :o
yeah, just send it to a repair shop. there arent a lot of electronics inside that thing but its still not something for a non-repair guy to do

Thanks a lot for the confirmation that the lens has a serious problem.
