All those lovely flowers!

I like that goat in the meadow by the water. Very picturesque.

This is Mythos the cat, who already had curled up on a chair at any table Elias and I selected at our favourite Old Town restaurant in Chania. Three times in a row, in fact. How he did that remains a mystery. Hence the cat's name. He had a distinct scar across the nose that immediately identified him from all  the other stray cats around.

Snapshot the old way (i.e. not looking in the finder) with the D5300 and 16/2.8 Fisheye-Nikkor.

(I know Andrea loves cats, and the cat loves to eat the power cords of her Mac)

On our way back from Spili, we visited the old habour of Rethymnon. Was very small and underwhelming ;)
I had anyway to do an pano while the "crew" paused to see what I did.

I visited Rethymnion (Rethymnio) first time in 1982, and made the following shot of the nice beach in the Old Port at that time. Now, contrast this with 2017 to see what has become of this once pretty seaside town. Rows of studios and hotels along the shoreline, a harbour for pleasure crafts, and the signs of heavily commercialised tourism strewn all over the place.

I think the '82 setting is better, but those times are now already memories of a past long gone.

The main street of Spili. Small mopeds and scooters are all over the place and they certainly can make impressive noise.

Spili is known for its waters. What you see is running 24/7 all year. There are 25 heads in the centre of the village.
