As others have said Hans it is a great vista that you have captured here;  is it the Kosciuszko area in NSW or is it in the Victorian high country?

Hugh, it was taken about 1km from the Mt Hotham ski village. The view is to the North-West with the township of Smoko just visible.
A great place to get a few lungfulls of very clean air

To me, it looked like a one-legged wild hog at the first glance and thus a nice series of animals along with John's immediately previous post.

Thanks Akira! .. made me laugh :-) Now I also see a poor one-legged wild hog. Yes, John captured a very nice but different kind of beast. The surreal thing is placed outside a nature/science school building and it looks like bone - with that size it might be from a whale skeleton (upper mouth part maybe).
