I do sharpening and downsizing generally on Photoshop PSD files. I don't think there is any difference compared to TIF(s) in Photoshop. I seldom have a reason to down sample a JPG as I shoot NEF(s) only.

I would think down sampling from a JPG to JPG isn't that destructive if the original is high quality JPG since you are already tossing a lot of data by down sampling. The general principle however is don't save JPG to JPG. If I have to I'll save with the highest quality.

PSD or TIF to sRGB to 8 bit and then to JPG are my final steps.

If someone sees a mistake please let me know.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear, I was referring specifically to Elsa's image of a dialogue box as there is no indication as to which program was being used?

I do realise that there are many ways to adjust the size of an image, I was just curious as to what Elsa was using?

RGB, PSD or TIF in 16 bit to 8 bit then convert to sRGB and save as JPG

If sharpening in steps first 0.5 then 0.3 or there about,,, but very unusual,,,

It was not about resizing and not a reply to you I read that your question was to Elsa.
