And I'd like to see what Franks lamb looked like when it finally came out of the oven

It looked very good because rosko (Francis) took care of the presentation, he is a catering professional. I just cooked it.

David thanks for commenting

now you will see the tortured butchers
when we shopped the lamb  (for vegetables shopping I preferd to wait outside)

butcher one, cutting a lamp in 2 pieces after detailed explanation from Frank with royal British translation and confidence building Swiss support

Frank seeing what he gets, start thinking about an exit strategy

butcher one´s face, when he heard that Frank never wanted this meat

Anthony, wanting to be at the other end of the world

thx Chris - yes I had good models, only changing sides in the narrow shops took too much time

butcher two, who was briefed by butcher one, before we arrived

he said: look guys, I just had a heart attack, so do not upset me, otherwise see the gambrels, I prepared for you

this is the meat, you wanted in our other shop?

finally everyone was satisfied

Thomas, Thank you!
The light and atmosphere is very well captured!

I doubt the story you tell is closly knit along the path of reality.

Butcher one, family of butcher two was not very customer oriented. I wanted two legs but he did not ask for my wishes in detail.

Truth is legs contain a lot of meat in one piece and some big bones, which is great for a slow cooking roast from the stove as planned by the chef.

The chest contains a lot of small bones with little meat between them, which is great if you want fast cooking chops for a barbecue or frying pan not planned by the chef.

The second butcher asked exactly what I wanted and I got exactly what I wanted. The first one only had one leg anyway.

sorry Frank and Anthony, this is my only reply to your answers, because I will not fight for wright or wrong
if you go into  a shop and let the  salesman do something especially for you - here cutting a lamb into 2 halfs
is an artisan work that allows no withdrawal from the purchase (EU law - maybe outdated in UK soon)
sawing the poor animal apart is documentent in my pictures ...  I reported this a s a funny eventand want to keep it as this in my mind
how it tasted had nothingh to do with the purchase process

The first butcher only saw the amount. The second butcher saw the requirement.

Both were wonderful.

#1 saw his personal perspective. What he wanted and needed to sell.

#2 saw that there was a cook who wanted to create something special and he could help and earn.

Both have great faces!

PS. Technically the first one has to use the saw to make chops. Nothing lost. Profit stays in the family.

OK. I just copy 5,972 Scotland NEFs from my backup to my current data disk to revisit them, delete all I posted and all I dislike and then edit the remaining. I did not edit most of the panoramas and experimental stuff yet...
