I love that mountain shot, Simone - it makes those hills look like one of the major ranges. Colour or mono, both excellent.

Also Jakov's circular fisheye shot - very very nice. I think I'm gonna have ta git one o' those critters . . . .

I am glad you like it, I am contemplating a test print of the B&W version.

Simone your pano is magical. Well worth the hike. I equally like the color version :)
Anthony, "Life in the ruins of Finlarig Castle" is so romantic and gentle! It's as if you had a crew of 15 lighting up the shot :)

The master of all fish  8)

I wonder if Erik used any lens other than the 6mm fisheye during this gathering.  :D

Akira, here is a prime example :D

All in all, the 135 DC is very versatile and I simply adore it :)

Yeah, the  6mm fish is his "standard lens" for the trip!  Glad you enjoy your DC, Jakov!

Dave. In #406 the old growth forest with all the lichen on the bark fascinates me. It is so easy to see with bare
eyes and so difficult to show in a photo! Also the copper golden rock in the second water fall shot is very special.
Thank you.

I am going through my photos more systematically and I am currently editing images from the day of the hike to Ben Lawers, which took Bez, Simone and me all the way trhough most of the ridge: Beinn Ghlas, Ben Lawers, An Stuc and Meall Garbh.
Here is a pano of An Stuc, seen looking west while ascending the last Munro of the day, Meall Garbh. To the left, higher, is Ben Lawers.
Colour and B&W versions (I made three B&W conversions, with Color Efex, DxO Film Pack 3 and Lightzone; the last is my pick).

we had superb light on that day. Love the mountain pano! On the way down I did a Loch Tay Pano calling now to be
developed. This will be a long thread!!!!

I know that there have been many fish-eye images in this thread, but Erik's big fish inspired us all  8)
I know that there have been many tree shots in this thread, but Dave's photos inspired us all  8)

Anyhow, something that I have noticed was that you don't need to get far away from home to make a photo.
This one was taken one morning just next to the lodges...

This is soooo coool. Light breaking through.

sorry Jakov to correct you: this was not hiking, this break  through of the surface into a mud hole was the German understanding of spa (at least for people with my specific ground pressure)
