The color differentiation at this ISO setting is a huge step forward from previous offerings.

I guess this is some kind of turkey or Auerhahn?

wild turkeys.. they can be a nuisance... this is mating season so they are on display

i usually just ride past turkeys but have had little to photograph lately so i shot these.. very quickly handheld.

the 600VR is quite heavy.... i have a 600FL on order  ;)

i also had the TC17EII on as well.. 1000mm

Impressive. The beautiful layers of feathers on #2 are like these old stone tiled roofs but from a mad architect.
