Two aspects of cherry blossoms

I love Japanese apricots just starting to bloom and cherry blossoms starting to fall.  To me, these are the most beautiful phases of two of the representative spring flowers in Japan.

Cherry blossoms are in their most beautiful phase now.

Very nice images, Akira - two different aspects for sure. The flowering apricots do look spectacular.

Is that a tombstone in #1?

I like the pink "guideline" in #2.

I like a lot the representation of the blossoms being part of every aspect of the life there and I will love to see more. It is a delicate approach.

  Maybe 36 views of cherry blossoms by Akira?

Thanks, Mike.  Actually both images are of cherry blossoms.  This is a stone marker for the shrine "Ontakesan" in my neighborhood.

Anirban, glad you like them.  As mentioned above, the stone structure is a marker for the shrine.  I like the powerful engraved letters, so I wanted to contrast them with the natural power of the blossoms.

Paco, glad you like them.  "36 views" should be worth challenging but it would take quite some time to complete.   :o

Ahh, thanks. We tried to decipher the Kanji but it defeated us.
