Yes, you can add it as the direct predecessor;
Rangefinder Micro-NIKKOR C 5cm f/3.5 was adapted for the F mount by increasing the focal length by 5 mm and tweaking the elements.

Did the SLR versions keep the very high resolution of the rangefinder version?

All of the Micro Nikkor 55mm lenses are outstanding, there are very small differences between them, here is in depth for the f/3.5 Xenotar design and with info where it differs from Gauss design

I have a couple of the Nikkor-P (compensating types) and the AIS 55/2.8.
Both types very good. On Z50 I use the Nikkor-P all the time I need something "close-up" and always been very satisfied with the results.
