Thanks, Massimo. Yes, this mountain is immense - its hard to appreciate its sheer size, not only its height but especially its girth, without driving around it.

We really enjoyed the wines made on its foothills, especially the delicate whites.

Every plant that grows in this lava-enriched soil will have a particular and distinctive flavor, next time you'll have to try ice cream with Bronte's pistachios! (gelato al pistacchio)
