Yongnuo 50mm f1.8 for Nikon?
« on: July 31, 2017, 23:36:41 »
Has anyone tried the Nikon version of the Yongnuo 50mm f1.8 lens?

I've got the Canon version on my old Eos 300D and it works pretty well - the Nikon version is (of course) much more expensive and I'm wondering how it compares with a basic Nikon 50mm.

Some test pictures with the Canon here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskZyx37y

Hi,

afaik they are identical regarding the optical constrction. Just the exterior is different. A 50mm 1.8D should be better.

I paid $49.00 (USD) a number of years ago for an AF 50/1.8 Nikkor (non-D). It's the last model made in Japan. I could recommend that model or a 50/1.8 AI or the AF-S 50/1.8G all of which I own.
