I have tried the Leica M90/2 pre-Asph E55 version, and I was disappointed. It is sharp in the center at f/2, but gets soft outside of the center. You need to stop diwn to f/5.6 for sharp corners. The 90/2.8 Elmarit-R is much more well behaved. I've not tried the 90/2 Asph. The Voigtländer 90/3.5 is very nice.

Thanks Bjorn,  I have a guy with the Summarit 90 f2.4 coming to India next month but had pretty much decided to go for 90 2.8 Elmait and a Minolta 90 f4.   A well known London dealer sold a C/V 90 f3.5 Lanthar , at a good price, before I could contact him  :( .  Another friend is trying to talk me into a Summicron 35 f2 ASPH but a bit too much for playing with adapters  ;)

I had an SMS from Zeiss on Thursday promising the Batis 85 delivered by Christmas Eve but nothing heard since  :(

I wish the FE 35 f2.8 was a bit cheaper .  Nice to have a small AF 35mm for candids.
Cheers,
Tom
