On the river
Looks like a lonely job, but sailing under a sky as dramatic as that might make up for it
Nice image Fons

A ferry from 1952 named M/F Broen - now a piece of history and was "dry docked" on ground in 2020 close to where it sailed on the Storebælt strait between the Danish isles Sjælland and Fyn until 1966. Taken out of service 1992.
Interesting! I didn't know they put it there. I see it's worth a photo stop at some point ;) Thank you

Thanks Erik - yes, it is worth a stop - I only had time for a few snapshots. It's close to the bridge and the small ice boat museum that is also worth a visit (I think they are closing the museum for the winter).

Very nice Øivind - it's almost like being there and it seems to be a relaxing trip :)

Thanks Lars. Below is an image of the train with its powerful, noisy diesel engine. The train is aimed at tourists, going very slowly and slows down at a number of points of interest like this view of Denali (North America's highest mountain) and its neighbor Mount Hunter.

Øivind - makes good sense that it's a very slow-going tourist train in such a beautiful scenery! I can imagine there are many great photo opportunities. I've travelled by train in the Austrian alps a few times and always wished the train would go much, much slower :)

A boatyard in Middelfart harbor on the isle of Fyn. They build clinker boats that's on the UNESCO world heritage list as part of the Nordic clinker boats tradition. In Middelfart part of the tradition is smakkejoller - smack dinghies with e.g. square shaped sails (is my understanding).

I love this image Lars and can almost imagine the smell of the wood, varnish etc :)

Many thanks Colin and Hugh :) Yes, a nice smell of wood spiced with the smell of sea and harbor. Very interesting place but I didn't have much time. Added a shot of some of the boatyard buildings.

Some impressions from the area around the Viking ship museum in Roskilde - interesting to get close to the ships that are currently on land.

I find Atocha station very compelling visually. I haven´t been here for a while
