Thank you.  Elmina town is a fascinating place; Elmina Castle is the best preserved of about 40 slave castles along the coast of what is now Ghana, along with Cape Coast Castle, built by the Swedes but rebuilt by the British in the 19th century. The main Danish-Norwegian slave castle, Fort Christiansborg, is in the centre of Accra and is used as the seat of the Ghanaian government, so you can't get in or even photograph the outside.

Here is another one of the same scene from a lower viewpoint.  The mist is sea-spray from a strong on-shore wind - it creates the contrast between the bright primary colours in the foreground and the pastel colours in the background.

Great Shots, Les.  It is a kind of coastline we hardly see, nice contrasts.

Fantastic shot Les and thanks for the small write-up. The images are even more enjoyable with little bit story behind them.
Remarkable sharpness, especially for such subject which is not necessarily static.

A couple of old boats reused as a shelter around a nice spot by the sea.

Does a Battleship count as a boat?

How did the battleship go under the bridge  ;D

There's a bit of false perspective going on, but it's an interesting question.  The ship arrived in the cove in 1964, and the bridge was finished a year later.  The height of the bridge is 254 feet between the spans, but only provides 135 feet of clearance.  I haven't been able to find the height of the Massachusetts, but the Missouri measured 210 feet above the waterline.  So I think the answer may be "Carefully. Very carefully."
