Back in 2009 in South Africa I met Bjørn for the first time. I cherish the inspiration and friendship that we have shared ever since.

*Rats* missed the shot ....

Also showing the pretty amazing performance of the 50 year old 400/4.5 Nikkor-Q. This is 100% crop of a frame with D500. One can easily read the photographer's name on the shoes :D  I say no more.

I admit to being quite surprised when I could read your name on the shoes :D

Both because the lens was so detailed and sharp  in its rendering and that you label your shoes !!

What's a shoe without a label?
Not only is the lens sharp but your skills with the Sachtler must have helped.

What is the little "double wired" device on Bjørn's D3 ?

Maybe a small GPS Unit hooked into the 10-pin socket on the front left side of the D3?

Right.  When I met Bjørn in 2007 when Nikon unveiled D3, he already used one on his D2X.   :o

FYI: this was a special modification of the di-GPS the company made ad hoc for me when I complained about their product not allowing concurrent use of the GPS and a 10-pin remote. For many years now I use the BT devices by Foolography instead to avoid any cables plus getting a minuscule unit on the camera. The Foolography has a mini jackplug port so any run-of-the-mill remote can be used.

Thank you Bjørn 👍🏻 I take the liberty to add a link here https://www.foolography.com I didn't know the company and they seem to make very interesting products.

The strap is D3 yes :) But as always with Bjørn there are more to it than that, the D3X camera has a quite distinct speaker symbol on the rear and of course the D3X on the display ;)
