My 17 year old son seems to pick up some of my passion for photography and outdoor life. At least he enjoys using his father's tools. This situation is low-threshold outdoor activity, though..

Very comfortable form of nature photography
This is actually from Griningsdalen, a few kilometers east of the Sjoadalen valley. There is a dirt road from the FV51  by Postfuru, between Nedre and Øvre Sjoadalsvatn. This was my first visit there, a beautiful "seterdal"-valley with a very nice view to the 2000 meters peaks in eastern Jotunheimen. No other tourist there, unlike the more crowded area around Besseggen and Gjende.

Very little snow that summer.  The depth of the snow pack can be > 10m. If more than 12m, I think the road authorities call it a day and close the road.
