Nice one, Brett. One can spend some time trying to reconstruct the bird's movement from the photo.

John - Your photo may be "a little unsharp", but captures the essence of some cats I've known.  Perhaps he or she has some kind of focus over-ride, for times when a cat wants to remain incognito ...

Christian - excellent photo, excellent colours!  I especially like how one element, the tail light, is tracked sharply while the rest rushes past.  Is there some zoom blur as well as the motion blur?

Cheers, John

Thanks. Wynn’s approached me, completely unsolicited. So you will probably see this picture on their advertisements.

So kind, John. The focus was rather on the cockpit (you can very well notice, the gear engaged (1) and the speed (59km/h; 60 is the max allowed in the pit lane, and the fines are hefty)). The tail lights (as the other) are LED driven, and the repetition is only a matter of the LED frequency. No zoom blur used. One can count the number (10) of “rings” and divide this by the exposure time (1/60s) to calculate the LED frequency (600Hz) ;)
