Hi John - what was the emulsion used in this slide?

I am not sure, Hugh. I am now working on a digital restore only because a part of the original slides got lost or damaged beyond repair.

Apparently less than usual snow in the mountains this winter?

I think so, yes. However, on the highest point, the snow was about 2-2,5 meters above the road.
