Apart from having a good time with a fellow NG member and supporter, our discussions and experiments during the week of Frank's visit, manifested itself like the setup below.
Z30 with the old, yet super capable, Voigtländer 15mm f/4.5 SL wide-angle lens. I added the 'finder' from my Skopar 21mm f/4 lens, as its coverage is about correct for 15mm on the DX format camera. A bit of tape and superglue ensure the finder stays put.
The solution is eerily similar to my black Nikon S3 with 21mm f/4 Nikkor which I used extensively in the '80s. But now it's digital, has a completely silent shutter, can use higher ISO, and will record GPS if that feature is set up [Snapbridge to the rescue, Foolography is not useful and current version is a disaster].
However, the "feeling" and ways of using the camera is identical.
