Minimal abandon detail

Z9, 105mm 1.4  (with this combo, first time I have ever thought some images too sharp)

Fixie? like fiets in Dutch?

Not. It means a fixed connection between the pedal axis and the back wheel. If you push backward you drive backward:

Vase

(I always liked the output of the D600/610.  Sold the D600  in the past but found now a nearly new D610 with very low shuttercount at a very low price)

D610  AF-D  50/1.4

I also got my D600 back. now I got five Nikon bodies: 500, 600, 850, Z6, Zf. Now I often try to mount F-lenses to Z-bodies. Confused.

I'm going to take a chance that Frank didnt mean what Fons and Alaun thought....
....and guess that this "fixie" is a fixed-gear bike
(no visible gear change or cable on the handlebars, other than the 2 brake cables)

If so, hats-off to you sir.
I've never ridden one and think my legs and brain would need several attempts to stay on something where you can't free-wheel, but your legs are always moving!

If I've made a linguistic mistake, i apologise to all concerned  :P

exactly. you need some exercise .But you do not need the brakes. They are but a concession to German law

No - I was changing tube trains at the time...

Thank you all for your kind comments.

Here's another, which I find amusing, earlier that same day

I rode single speed bikes for years.  They mostly came with civilised free wheeling hubs, but yes, some were uncivilised and only came with fixed hubs so that the pedals kept turning on the down hill segments of the journey!  Quite exciting to say the least.  And quite challenging if one lifts the feet off the pedals - so very hard to hold them clear of the pedals for long!

Hard to see the rear hub on the bike in question - obscured by the rider's left leg.

Beautiful color!  I even suspect that the blue lighting around the pool is aiming at this very scene.
