What photo editor with these features
richardHaw:
I'm looking for a replacement for Lightroom, what I need to see are:
* capable to batch watermark during export, it should be an image
* able to create virtual copies of images so I can process the same picture differently
Fuck Adobe :o :o :o
Ian Watson:
Both Capture One and DXO Photo Lab meet those requirements.
What has Adobe done to upset you?
Bent Hjarbo:
I am not sure that there is a replacement for many of the functions that are in Lightroom.
Lighttable may be the closest app.
richardHaw:
Thank you everyone, I'm looking at ON1 :o :o :o
it's the only one that can batch watermarks ::)
It can also do virtual copies, but I will have to test it myself first.
As for Adobe, their head is too big, their stocks went down because of what they did. Now they are dialing back after pissing off a lot of creatives. They have gone too far.
Basically they have the new terms of service that allows them access to your creation without consent so they can use for their AI model.
Ian Watson:
Actually, no. Someone read the legalese of the latest terms of service (written by lawyers for lawyers) and drew conclusions of entirely the wrong order. The Internet Amplification Effect took over from there. Adobe learned a painful lesson in public relations, but they did learn it.
Here is their explanation of the terms of service in plain language. It is nicely done.
https://www.adobe.com/legal/terms.html
They are not helping themselves to your images. They need your permission to do certain things that their software is designed to do for you. If it is on their servers then they have legal obligations to check for prohibited material. Only images submitted to Adobe Stock will be used for training their AI engine, as clearly stated when you sign up for that service.
So you can relax and keep using Lightroom :)
