There's something about the direct gaze of the lady smoking here and the way you've captured this that works for me on a level beyond photography.
Whatever the circumstances, I'm guessing that part of town was a nice place to be that evening

Many thanks Colin, yes that evening there was a summer fest in Lucerne and I felt like taking the Zf for some street photo. I was able to snap quickly and people seem to react positively to this good looking camera.

A wet summer suits the Viltrox 16mm f/1.8 on my Zf.

The AF Viltrox 16mm f/1.8 is exactly what I had expected: almost painfully sharp, high contrast, colours are vividly and crisply rendered, bokeh of background is -- for a wide angle lens -- pretty smooth.

And by the way, it survived its first involuntarily drop to the ground.

 Mainly Bidens ferulifolia. And f/8, which gets some much needed extra depth-of-field up close. Since it was late evening, light levels had dropped and I could just manage 1/30 sec at ISO 800. Not perfect when there was a breeze, but one has to make do with the cards dealt.

I like the combination of sharp details and painterly rendering offered by the Rodenstock TV-Heligon 50mm f/0.75. Here on my Z6.

Up close the image quality rapidly declines measured by the usual yardsticks, however the lens still can provide pleasant outcomes. After all, it is horribly abused way outside its design settings.

At infinity the image quality is surprisingly good, although the circle of acceptable images performance shrinks a lot. Thus the Heligon is better used with high-density pixel cameras such as the Z9, or even the Z30. Both put about the same pixel number inside the acceptable image circle.
