Westfield Heritage Village is a large collection of restored heritage buildings set in a conservation area. The buildings themselves are only open on Sundays and holidays in the warmer weather, with costumed interpreters on hand. However, they also host special events, including educational trips for children. We went to one on Tuesday.

This is Laura explaining what farm life was like for settlers in the early nineteenth century. (She remembered us from when she gave us a tour of her maple farm two years ago!)

Nikon Zf, 35mm f/2 AI (wide open).

For once, a true spring day with sunshine and temperatures well above the freezing point :) The local restaurant did  brisk business today, as witnessed by the overflow of register receipts :)

Laowa 9mm f/5.6 on the Z30. It is pretty difficult to manually  focus such a wide, and dare I say, darkish optic on an EVF. Especially when there is no traditional finder and you have to rely on the rear monitor screen instead. Thus results are a bit hit or miss. No problem really as I experimented to find out how tricky focusing this combination might be. Thus, further use of the Laowa 9mm will be on another Z model.

I am in awe! The 35mm f/2 AI was hard enough, especially with a moving subject.

This one was inspired by Birna's examples. I am but a humble student.
