I always find your cat portraits sensitvely done and this is no exception John.

Meanwhile the sun shone for several hours today.
I know it's worse farther North, but look how long the shadows were just after mid-day!
Thanks Colin.   Lovely landscape view!

First lesson for car owners in the winter season: don't forget where you put your car :) You might be in for a surprise (and no, it's not my car, the license plate indicates it originates from the southern, winter-mild coast)

Agree with on John’s cats.
I really like the lines in this landscape image, well done.

Thanks Bent.

Birna, I'm loving the seasonal images you're sharing.
It's been 0°C for two days here and today I felt cold even with thick coats & hat on.

Seeing winter life in Norway is a great reminder for me to be grateful for the kind effect the Gulf Stream has on the UK :)

Believe me, the Gulf Stream is what [is meant to] makes us survive over here as well. The cold spells of recent weeks have been sent us from Siberia. "From Russia with Love" -- indeed.

Total contrast John. Stablished and ethereal; nature and man-made; lineal and free-floating; dark and luminous...The limited palette giving some sense of unity. Then there is the asigned space in the composition to balance it out. Just lovely.

Snow is not an amorphous powder -- it has delicate structure and layering. It is also portrays the sequence of weather changes over time.  Rather unexpectedly, IR photography can help illustrate these facts.
