I like the original image as a formal-style, architectural elevation in photographic form.
I immediately noticed that the tones were unnecessarily compressed down to the darker end of the scale...it'd be better if it was at least a bit brighter.
What has been here called "skew", I call 'keystoning'...the camera is slightly tilted up.
I didn't even notice the tilt until the others pointed it out!
What I did notice is the barrel distortion, which, while slight, really shows up when it plays over a shot of a subject like this.
Personally, I'd like to see the distortion gotten rid of, but don't mind the tilt at all.
