Hi,

So finally became a member of NikonGear. Starting so long ago with the F2, then worked with the F3, F4, F5, the Nikon/Kodak DCS 420, the D1 and all the way up to the D850.
Digital on 35  it's only the Df these days.

Worked as a professional since end 1970's, but short time ago scaled down the commissioned work and now do mainly my own projects. Which only costs money but make me so very happy.

I have a nice collection of F camera's, from an early 1960 model to the Apollo. The F is the most iconic and most beautiful designed SLR ever in my opinion.

Using film it is the F3 and the Rolleiflex 2.8 f   Ocassionally the Hasselblad with a Phase One.

I consult Bjørns 'Lens survey and subjective evaluations' for so many years. His subjective evaluations suits me!

I'm looking forward to read and learn from the other members.

PS I live in the Netherlands

Herman,

Thanks for the welcome.

Although the Df is in my opinion the nicest and finest to handle digital Nikon ( why did't they call it the Fd ?? ) I find working with the F, F2 or F3 the most pleasant.
The Df delivers nice and clean images, especially when using the MF lenses, but I like the imperfection of film,  and the time between shooting and seeing the results. Using these F camera's are a delight.  This of coarse only applies for my 'fine art' photography.
