Nikon D3s LCD screen replacement

Hi, I find cheap LCD screen replacement on ebay, for my D3s, is it possible to find this item
as original Nikon? I have earlier had the camera serviced at Fotocare in Oslo. I have
not askeda price for having this particular repair done now. The screen is completely dead, the camera otherwise
in very good shape. Also warned about the complexity of job from the "repair wizard homepage"

Having removed the back from a D700 to replace various things, I wouldn’t be afraid of opening up the D3.

Hi, thanks for encouragement. I just got a call from Ulf at Fotocare in Oslo, he had one screen left, and estimated aprox 300 usd cost.

Snoogly:
Look online, and I am sure you will find a video about removing the back of a d3 or D3s. Fiddly, but maybe ‘better’ that the Richard Haw shortcut.

Once the back is off it’s easy.

Then it was not the screen, probably  need new motherboard. Funeral allready held in silence  :'(
