I went out for a walk....and found he was walking on the footpath too

Maybe ambitious with D500, 300mm PF & TC14 handheld...

Thanks John, Fons. Actually, it was my wife who noticed the potential of this view and shot the image first with her smartphone. So kudos to her!

The 300mm TC14 combo went from that tiny beetle to its normal role of distant sealife in a few minutes.
